On: 'Persepolis' by Marjane Satrapi

The transitions in this book weren't to exciting. From panel to panel it was pretty straight forward and boring. To make a shift in time, Satrapi would use a character telling a story and use this as a tool to show that the events happened back in time. Pretty standard stuff here. I almost feel that it should have been written as a book and not a graphic novel, or least it was an odd choice to pick this medium if you can't actually draw at all. But the story was defiantly captivating, and i only had a little trouble telling some of the characters apart some times, but this obviously is just to point out the realities of islamic culture. With the veils and the long sleves and the mustashes or what not.
